MATERIALS AND COLOURS
The colous and materials will create the right atmosphere for your home: they can give energy and create a relaxing effect. But we must always keep the balance between the colours and the five elements in our min. Reinforce your space according to the direction (Bagua) and the cycle of the five elements: select the colour according to the cardinal direction, or the colour of the associated element. Or base on the combination of colours according to the principle of Yin-Yang: depending on the destination of the premises, it is more likely to choose the active Yang power to the oscillation passive Yin power.
EARTH ELEMENT
Yellow stimulates the metal energy, that means patience, control and tolerance. Yellow is a active yang colour.
Ochre: has a calming effect and stimulates concentration. Too much ocher can become boring or gives the effect of oppression.
Apricot: the pale apricot exudes warmth and intimacy and is ideal for planning a bedroom. A strong apricot is recommended for the living room.
The colours yellow, ocher and apricot belong to the Earth element and according to the Bagua are associated with the cardinal points of the compass to the South West (social relationships and marriage), the Northeast (knowledge and self-realization) and the Centre (Tai Chi, health ).
The materials of the Earth element are: ceramics, clay, sand, sisal and tiles and shapes are rectangular.
ELEMENT WOOD
Green: promotes balance, harmony and peace, but too much green should be avoided because it causes stagnation (balance with red and blue). Green is a Yin color.
Emerald green is vibrant and exciting. A green decoration of walls, should only be chosen if there are few plants in the room (as there should be in the bedroom).
Blue: has a calming effect. Makes a room with little natural light bright and friendly and is suitable for the planning of bathroom and kitchen.
Turquoise: is relaxing and vibrant.
The colours green, blue and turquoise belong to the Wood element and according to the Bagua are associated with the cardinal points of the compass to the East (family) and Southeast (wealth, prosperity and abundance).
The materials are wood elements: wood, bamboo, linen, paper and plants, cotton.
WATER ELEMENT
Black: symbol of work, living and career, irradiates money and power. Combined with rose symbolizes social power, combined with the yellow intellectual power. People who often wear black, usually want more attention.
Blue: soothes and creates a harmonious atmosphere. Symbolizing care, reliability, loyalty, diligence, faith and perseverance. Introverted persons tend to dress in blue.
Viola: identifies with truth, love, loyalty and high ideals. It is the colour of dreamers, philosophers, poets, visionaries, mathematicians and to bring good luck.
The colours black, blue and purple belong to the Water element and according to the Bagua are associated with the cardinal points of the compass to the North (career, life flow). Black and blue colours are considered Yin.
The materials of the Water element are: glass, mirrors and "running" materials (liquids); wave forms, amorphous and shapeless.
METAL ELEMENT
White: in China, the white is not often used because it is the color of mourning. In the West, white is associated with innocence and purity, the colour in which the bride goes to the altar. White is assigned to the Yang principle. It is recommended to avoid too much white at home.
Gray: is associated with fear and negation. Anxious people should avoid gray colour. On the other side gray has a formal character and is suitable in work spaces because they do not distract (even in clothing from work).
White and gray colours belong to the Metal element and according to the Bagua are associated with the cardinal points of the compass to the West (children, creative projects) and North West (important friends, support).
The materials of the Metal element are: metals and granite and the shapes are round and oval.
FIRE ELEMENT
Red is the most fortunate colour, wearing it makes us thinking about love and is associated with virtue, joy, passion and growth. Red is the colour of life, a strong red keeps away the forces of evil. For emotional or hyperactive people red is less appropriate because it has a particularly strong energy. The red is part of the Yang principle.
Viola: creates passion in a room, because it is close to the Fire element.
Orange: creates happiness and constructive energy. In dark areas promotes a relaxing atmosphere. Being a Yang colour, in the bedroom can interfere sleep and therefore it is better not to abuse it in this room.
Rosa is relaxing and creates comfort.
Pink: is a strong colour and depends very much on the taste of the time. It improves the atmosphere making it playful and young
Lavender: makes the atmosphere slightly and stimulating. The colour, however, is too weak to arouse strong emotions.
The red colours are purple, orange, pink and pink belongs to the Fire element, and according to the Bagua are associated with the cardinal points of the compass to the South (fame, self-expression and reputation).
The materials of the Fire element are: scalp, plastic, leather; light and the shapes are triangular, pointed similar to a star.
