Feng Shui applied to the bedroom

BEDROOM

bazi

Today's life is getting more hectic and stressful every day. What could be nicer than enjoying the long-awaited relaxation after a long day at work? Feng Shui can create the "sanctuary of rest" in the bedroom, where we can recharge our energies. According to Feng Shui, a balanced bedroom supports our health and brings a balance in the emotional life, especially in relationships. About a third of our life flows into the bedroom: it is our "secret headquarters". Only when we are fresh and rested can we start the new day with such energy. According to Feng Shui, the room has a great impact on our love affair. A couple finds more mutual support and success in the relationship when energy - the so-called ´Chi` - flows harmoniously into the bedroom. How can you create an atmosphere of pure well-being? Some basic precautions are outlined below.

THE LOCATION OF THE BEDROOM
The most convenient place for a bedroom is usually the back of the building or the Yin side. This is the part of the house that borders the garden or the side, with no passageways to the street (too much noise). Take a look at the room and the adjacent rooms. In general the rule applies: the further the bedroom is from the restless energy, such as that in the entrance area, in the kitchen and in the bathroom, the safer the rest.

The position of the bedroom door is a guarantee for a restful sleep. The rules are: It should not be at the end of a corridor (the Chi rushes to the door and disturbs the sleeper) and it should also not be opened to the stairs. In this case, a light can be installed or an important item can be hung from the ceiling between the stairs and the bedroom door to distract attention from the room. It is better not to have access to the bathroom in the bedroom, nor should it be above a garage (too much metal) or above the kitchen or toilet in the basement. The bedroom should be kept in Yin energy, which means calm, relaxing, without noise and without excessive light or colors.

THE LOCATION OF THE BED
It is the central element in the bedroom. The essence is that the sleeper has a bed with a solid headboard and a visible door; In addition, the head of the bed should be leaning against a wall as this provides protection and support. It is important to avoid problematic situations, such as the bed under a window, on the wall to the bathroom and the toilet, between two doors or between the door and the window.
Other positions to avoid include: sleeping under open beams or a beam that connects part of the room to the other; in many cases, this creates depressing sensations that can negatively affect sleep. It will surely put the sleeper in bad shape. In this case you need a four-poster bed or simply cover the beam with an opaque fabric or position the bed parallel to the beam - if space permits. Other taboos are: mirrors (causing sleeplessness and excitement), mirror cabinets or a TV in front of the bed. If they can't separate them, it's better to hide them by covering them with a fabric or keeping the mirrored closet doors open. The ideal position would be the bed head on the wall, where the bed is placed in a favorable direction according to the Gua numbers. The bed itself should be robust and above all stable. The preferred material is wood and not metal (conducts). The mattress should not have springs attached, since there is a risk that the electronic smog already present in the room is "reflected" and consequently increases further.

COLORS
Neutral colors are especially recommended while fabrics with strong patterns are out of place. We should prefer monochromatic colors that do not irritate the eye too much. Fire red, warm orange, cool blue and an elegant black - with each color we unconsciously create associations. For example, some do not feel comfortable in white rooms, while others feel a strange restlessness in the brightly colored spaces. The explanation according to Feng Shui is that each of us is assigned one of the five elements: wood, fire, earth, metal or water. Colors are also closely related to one or more of these elements. Green, for example, symbolizes wood. Represents stands for an associative force and promotes health, enthusiasm and spontaneity. All the elements obviously interact with each other: if one is missing or another dominates too much, the energy - the Chi - can no longer flow naturally.
Prefer natural materials and round shapes: wardrobes, chests of drawers and natural wood beds and natural fiber sheets create comfort. On the other hand, metal or synthetic materials are cold and to be avoided. In the same way, all pointed and angular shapes are unfavorable. Instead the soft lines promote relaxation and deep sleep. What should be avoided in the bedroom? As much as possible beds with metal structures, old mattresses, bedding and rugs in synthetic fibers, tangled cables under the bed, appliances such as the clock radio, TV, computer, electric blanket, reading lights behind or above the headboard solid, hanging frames above the headboard, open and hanging shelves, clothes, water objects such as aquariums or fountains for the interior, disturbing decorations and images, bright colors and intrusive designs, large plants.

CONCLUSION
So to rest your mind and eyes, to prepare for the night I advise not to overfill the bedroom. The bedroom must be essential, each component should have a function. However, the decorations used in an essential way must not be missing, because they provide intimacy and romance. The recommendations listed here are general in nature, and, cannot and should not replace individual Feng Shui consulence chart.
